Rendezvous 2018 is Going to be a Hot One

Environment Canada has issued a HEAT & HUMIDITY warning for the 2018 INA Rendezvous. Please come prepared for the hot weather but remember you’ll probably need a sweater if you’re sailing. The fog banks have been persistent of Halifax for most of July and temperatures are much lower in the fog however the humidity remains a nice and sticky 100%.

Please remember to keep well hydrated and stay out of the sun as much as possible while you are attending the Rendezvous.

Temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius (86F) are expected.

A very warm airmass will settle over the Maritimes again this week and persist into the Natal Day weekend.

Daytime highs reaching 30 degrees across much of Nova Scotia today with humidex values near 33C (91F).

Humidity levels will gradually increase on Wednesday pushing humidex values to 36C (97F) or more. On Thursday, cloudiness and scattered showers will move into the region but the high temperatures and humidity will continue for the remainder of the week and well into the weekend.
